England bedste strande

Stranden var helt fantastisk! Vejret var perfekt til mit første besøg, og jeg var overvældet af stedets skønhed. Det er et fantastisk sted, hvis du leder efter lidt ensomhed og vil have din egen lille bid af paradis. Og lad os ikke glemme foto mulighederne - de var simpelthen fantastiske! Stranden var fejlfrit ren og velholdt. Det er unødvendigt at sige, at jeg helt sikkert vil vende tilbage til denne lille bid af himlen.

With breathtaking views in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the lovely sandy beach at Bigbury-on-Sea, Devon, is a true gem. The shallow waters make it a perfect family-friendly beach. We saw many people enjoying their paddle boards and kayaks here as well. At low tide, you can walk across the sands to Burgh Island and enjoy a drink outside the Pilchard Inn. You should also see the purpose-built Sea Tractor, which runs between Burgh Island and Bigbury Beach. There is plenty of parking and toilets available in the nearby car parks. Note that our phones occasionally struggled to pick up a signal.

Unfortunately, there are signs indicating that dogs are not allowed on the beach between certain locations from May to, I believe, October. I forgot to take photos of the signs, but they did mention a fine if you're caught walking your dog on the beach. I assume this rule is in place because some owners don't clean up after their pets. Additionally, be cautious of rip tides and quicksand, so it might not be a good idea to stray too far from the dry sandy beach when the tide is out.

Ved ankomsten til stranden bemærkede vi, at vandstanden var høj. Mens vi ventede på, at den trak sig tilbage, nød vi frokost i de nærliggende åbne marker. Vi havde svært ved at finde mange muligheder for fisk og chips eller is. Men vi havde ingen problemer med parkering, da det var både let og gratis. Stranden var fredelig og ikke overfyldt med bløde, sandstrande. Vandet var krystalklart og forfriskende. Alt i alt havde vi en vidunderlig tid. De lokale var ekstremt venlige, især da min kone faldt, og mange venlige sjæle kom til hendes hjælp.
