We took our three dogs to the designated dog-friendly section of the beach, and it was fantastic. The sand was nice, and there was a cool breeze, although sometimes it was a bit too strong. I definitely recommend bringing a windbreak. Some areas of the beach are pebbly, but if you find a sandy spot, it's perfect for paddling with kids and dogs.
During our nightly walks across the beach, we met plenty of locals. You can easily walk to Mundesley and grab some delicious fish and chips from the Catch.
This was our first time in Norfolk, and we found Bacton beach to be quite good. We also visited Holkham beach, which was lovely, but we had to walk a long way to reach the sea, and the wind was so strong that we got sandblasted.
