Cayo Santa Maria IV Stranden

Food: We were hungry 95% of the time, mostly surviving on bread and cheese (which was called pizza). The airport also ran out of food, leaving literally NO food available even if you were about to pass out. The all-inclusive package is barely all-inclusive, with food being extremely scarce. Our fridge contained just 1 bottle of water, 1 beer, and 2 apple waters. Bugs were everywhere, especially in our rooms and bed. Flies were all over the dining areas, and there was a dead crab outside my room. The hotel is TWO HOURS away from the airport. Our flight was leaving at 11pm, but we were denied a late check-out even though the hotel was empty. We ended up waiting in the lobby for 8 hours because there was nothing to do in the hotel. ALL the swimming pools displayed on the website were out of order. We ONLY swam in the beach and our little swim-up. The pools were empty. If we had known this, we would've never stayed here. The kids club had no kids. The bathroom had a leak from the ceiling. The ambiance of the resort is nice; however, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would ONLY recommend the beach. The beach was nice except for the fact that people were feeding the pigeons and seagulls so much that the birds invaded the beach. By far, my least favorite vacation. I would never return. I heard Havana is nice.

Paradisus Los Cayos is one of my top picks in Cuba! The beach is unparalleled, and the staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is both entertaining and memorable. The buffet offers a wide range of options, and I appreciate the numerous bars serving a variety of cocktails and drinks. I will definitely be returning to this resort.

Paradisus Los Cayos is a large hotel situated in a stunning location. They provide a wide variety of food options. The staff is exceptionally kind, with Brayan being a standout. His smile, enthusiasm, and helpfulness significantly enhance the hotel's high standards. A piece of advice: We understand that maintaining cleanliness in such a large hotel can be challenging, but please pay more attention to the hygiene of the rooms. Clean sheets, a clean bathroom, and a clean floor should be top priorities. We were unsure if the sheets were clean upon our arrival, and the bathroom appeared to have been used.

This resort is fantastic! I highly recommend opting for the royal package; it offers more privacy and a wider variety of food options. The service was excellent, and remember to tip the staff. The beaches feature white sand and corals near the shore, making it perfect for daily snorkeling. The water temperature was pleasant when I visited in May 2024. I also did the dolphin and snorkel excursion with Sunwing for 115 USD.

We spent 9 days here, and I must say, you won't find a beach as beautiful as this one anywhere else. The resort is enormous, well-maintained, and the staff and management are fantastic. You won't go hungry here; they have food for everyone. This was our second trip in three months, and we will definitely be returning again in the very near future.
