Stunning location. Ample paid parking available on site. I've visited numerous times, but it gets too crowded during the summer season. This time, we had a BBQ and enjoyed the lovely sunshine. It's a great spot for kids, with an ice-cream shop and dining area. There are bathrooms, changing rooms, plenty of seating, and a green area for playing and relaxing.
Stunning venue for a wedding. Distinctive and captivating, offering a breathtaking view of Edinburgh. Even on a rainy day, it felt incredibly special.
This beach is a stunning spot for leisurely strolls. I highly recommend visiting on weekends to unwind. It tends to be quite breezy, so don't forget to bring a jacket. The ocean boasts a beautiful blue hue, and you can freely walk or jog along the shoreline. Additionally, there's a charming beach cafe where you can grab a coffee to take with you. This location offers a pure, natural setting, and I absolutely adore the peaceful walks here. You'll always encounter fellow individuals seeking some fresh air. I would definitely suggest this place, as it's not a tourist hotspot but rather a hidden gem for locals. Come and relish a Sunday afternoon stroll.
This beach is a hidden gem, but it can be a bit chilly. Make sure to stop by the Sands coffee shop - it's definitely worth it.
When the weather is pleasant, it tends to get crowded with numerous BBQs and smoke filling the air. During winter, it's an excellent spot to meet like-minded individuals who enjoy wading through the seaweed for a wild swim.
This location is perfect for catching both sunsets and sunrises. However, be aware that the tide can cover almost the entire beach, so it's a good idea to check the tide schedule before planning your visit. There's a concrete wave breaker that makes a great spot for barbecues. While the beach is generally clean, the concrete structure does detract from the natural beauty. It appears that sewage used to be released in this area, but I've never noticed any unpleasant smells or sights. I've also seen people fishing and swimming here, which suggests that the water is safe.
