Not only the access is crazy and dangerous, but it doesn't stop people from coming, so the beach is not quiet and empty at all. Descent takes about 30 min. No facilities. Water is calm and beautiful, turquios just like in Nice. But next time boat or helicopter ))

It is a very beautiful beach. Just be aware that getting there walking through the rocky hills is quite dangerous. The beach is below a steep cliff. To get from the official road down to the beach goes over unofficial narrow rocky tracks. These tracks get flushed by heavy rainfall regularly during the winter, and because of that, they're of very irregular quality. More often than not, it's not walking but climbing down. If you fall on the many sharp, pointy rocks, be aware you are in an area with no cellphone coverage. You would depend on people passing by. Rescue efforts would possibly require a helicopter to lift you out safely. The government does not own the grounds, so it isn't maintaining any track here. Climbing down is done by many, but very much on your own risk. The only safe way to reach this beach is by one of the water taxi services from a nearby town/harbor. Nonetheless, the beach is gorgeous. Please bring a bag to take garbage with you when you leave. The government does not clean the beach, and local people on the beach can be sensitive when they see people leave behind their garbage, whether they're tourists or Portuguese alike.

A lovely beach. It takes 20minutes of walking down steep slopes on uneven rocky and sandy path, so take water, wear decent footwear and a beach umbrella. Take all rubbish home with you. Respect this beautiful place.

Amazing place! You need good shoes for this one, but go down in 15 min and you can also get up easily in 15 min if you are in good shape. Pack your things, food and drinks in you backpack. Its easier to carry stuff as you need to do some easy climbing too. Ohh! And this is is good spot for snorkeling! Loved it.

Very challenging hike down to the beach, the path is steep and very hard to find. There is no cellphone service on the trail so it is difficult to follow where to go. We reached a point where we had to walk through a little river and get our shoes soaking wet. Wear runners for sure, flip flops are not appropriate and you may hurt yourself. The beach is beautiful but it is an adventure to get to it.
