Constance Prince Maurice is advertised as a luxurious high-end resort, and it certainly lives up to that reputation with its excellent food, service, and comfort. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of hot and cold options, including one smoothie and three fresh fruit juice choices, as well as an egg station and a waffle/crepe station. The tea selection is outstanding, but the coffee options are just average. They could improve on refilling water for tea. Watching the sunset at the floating bar and restaurant was a highlight, and dinner there was delicious. Our server, Andrew, went out of his way to ensure our table was stable. The food was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the view from the restaurant was breathtaking, especially during the 19:00H sitting when the sun sets.
The resort truly goes the extra mile to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. We arrived on an early morning flight and were given a temporary room to relax and shower before our permanent room was ready. We even received a complimentary breakfast that morning!
On Wednesday, we enjoyed a tasting by Strange and Sons, a delightful cocktail hour with specialty drinks. The management attends this event to interact with guests and ask about their stay.
Guests can partake in complimentary water sports at the resort, such as kayaking around the nearby islands.
Our room was well-maintained and, while not the most modern, was still very comfortable. The bed was cozy, and when we had noisy neighbors one night, the hotel staff quickly addressed the issue and followed up with us the next day. The in-room coffee and tea options were also good.
Considering the price, food quality, and services offered, Constance Prince Maurice is a fantastic high-end luxury resort to experience in Mauritius.
