Daejin 1 Lee Beach

This place is wild. Found a parking spot and went down to the beach to relax. Some man in his 40’s wearing all black & face cover came up to us and said we need to pay 10,000w. He said he is a govt employee and needs to collect fee for cleaning. We said we didn’t want to pay so he said we cannot sit near the parking lot and had to go over to the drainage area. We relocated to the drainage area and he came over again to tell us to move 70 yards further away (barely any beach here). Then told us we can’t swim over there and can only swim in the main area. We called local office and they said they have no employees working there collecting money. It was so shady and the guy was so rude we left asap.

Daejin 1-ri Beach, the northernmost Donghae beach with a wonderful summer weather It is quiet, the sky is good, the waves are great for playing, and the depth of the water is satisfactory for both children and adults. Bungalows, parasols, tubes, and inflatables are available at the management center. Cost included! If you go to a rural beach, it's a good idea to get a cheap price because it's managed and run by local people. Delivered Chinese food, the best whole chicken, A view of Geumgangsan Hotel if you go a little higher.

As the day got warmer, there were people chilling in a quiet place, and it's still a quiet beach^^ It seems like a good place to play with kids in the summer.

Compared to Hajodae or Jumunjin Beach, it is very small in size, but has a secluded, quiet, and leisurely charm.
