Parking was reasonably priced and had an attendant so felt safe. Sand is mostly taken up by beach club and loungers but they serve nice coffee. Good customer service also.
There is space along the sand but when we went there were three fisherman, the water can be rocky in the shallow area. But we found a gap that was not.
Crystal clear water, fine sand, but some what littered with ocean debris.
The thing that lost the stars for us was the BUGS.
Mosquitos are plenty and annoying, ants are fine and don’t cause a problem.
But… the reason we left three hours before our parking was TICKS. We saw a black legged rock climbing across our blanket right by my partners hair. I did not know you could find them in the sand of a beach and where there is one there is many. We went home and checked all the common areas, combed our hair and showered.
I’m not saying you should avoid this beach for this reason! Just be aware of the ticks as they can transmit disease if not removed with 48 hours.
It is beautiful and I’m sure we could have stayed, but we just wanted to be careful!
