This beach is the epitome of family-friendly fun, with its jet-black sand and picturesque scenery. The sight alone is enough to make you forget all your worries and just bask in the beauty of nature.
We arrived at around 2pm and were pleasantly surprised to see that the beach was not overrun with tourists. In fact, there were more locals than tourists, which made for a more authentic experience.
We overheard a few tourists complaining about the crowds at Playa Hermosa (a gray sand beach) and another nearby beach, but we were more than content with our choice.
It seems that the locals have found a way to make a quick buck by charging for parking, but we were savvy enough to park before the cul-de-sac area and avoid the fee. Who said you can't have a great time and save money at the same time?
