What an incredible destination! My stay in February of 2019 for 9 days was nothing short of amazing. The restaurant, the condos, and the staff were all exceptional. Although the roads may not be the best, they are easy to navigate once you become accustomed to them. The abundance of wildlife was a true highlight, as we had a family of monkeys living right beside us - an unforgettable experience. The food at Aroma Del Mar was simply divine, and the staff were a pleasure to interact with. I already miss the delicious breakfasts! Don't forget to attend pizza night - it's an absolute must! Lastly, for those seeking waves, Playa Coyote is the place to go. It's a short drive away, but the beach is absolutely breathtaking.
We spent two weeks in Costa Rica and our favorite part was definitely our week at Opacifico beach. The beach and resort are both beautiful. Susanna, Luis, and Ian were fantastic hosts and made us feel special throughout our stay. The excursions, especially the bioluminescence night kayaking tour, were a lot of fun. We highly recommend spending your day relaxing in a hammock on the beach.
This beach is absolutely stunning! It's the perfect spot to unwind and recharge your batteries. The serene atmosphere and breathtaking views are sure to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Whether you're looking to soak up the sun, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, or simply laze around on the soft sand, this beach has something for everyone. So if you're in need of some much-needed R&R, be sure to make a stop at this idyllic seaside paradise.
The so-called "beach" resembles a stagnant pond more than anything else, with its lackluster waves and tepid waters. It's not the worst spot around, but let's not pretend it's anything remotely picturesque.
Although the entrance fee may appear steep, it is justifiable if you plan on spending the entire day at the beach. Our visit was brief, as we were waiting for relatives to return from their scuba diving excursion, but we encountered various wildlife such as agouti, iguanas, deer, and a plethora of monkeys. Moreover, the prices for kayaking are reasonable, and the kayaks are spacious enough to fit two adults and a child comfortably. A double kayak costs 15 USD per hour or 30 USD for three hours, which is a great deal.
