This is our preferred beach in the area, but it's crucial that you don't bring your unsocialized dog here if you can't control them or ensure they come back when called. As a small dog owner, I'm tired of other dogs running up to my little one and knocking her over. We've also had some unpleasant incidents where off-leash dogs approached and jumped on young children. So please keep your dog on a leash and clean up after them. Let's not be disrespectful.
Warnbro Beach is the ideal destination if you're seeking a more laid-back beach atmosphere or a safe spot to take kids for a swim without worrying about big waves or surfers. Due to its typically calm waters, it's perfect for paddle boarding or enjoying a morning swim. On windy days, it becomes an excellent location for kite surfing, offering plenty of space to maneuver and minimal waves. Regardless of your preference, there's always something for everyone here, whether you want to take a leisurely beach stroll, cycle, picnic, or sunbathe. If you're not a fan of the sand but still want to stay close, there's a walkway right next to the beach that goes all the way around, allowing you to enjoy the view.
This beach is easily accessible from the car park and usually has a friendly atmosphere with nice people. Just be cautious of the dunes, as there may be some unsavory individuals up there. It's best to visit in the early morning before the sea breeze picks up around midday. Keep in mind that this is a clothing optional beach, so you may feel out of place if you choose to stay clothed. Give it a try at least once in your life - you may be surprised by how liberating and stress-relieving it can be.
What an amazing beach! It offers some of the most stunning views in Western Australia! Located just outside of Perth, Penguin Island and Cape Peron are perfect spots for snorkeling and unwinding.
